Within about a 20 minute drive of the B&B you can reach historic Fredericksburg where many battles of the civil war were fought.  While visiting Fredericksburg be sure to visit:

Fine Dining

Log Cabin (Small, quaint building located on Route 1 South in Stafford County)

Old Town Steak and Seafood (Lovely restaurant located in downtown Fredericksburg)

Castiglia's (located in downtown Fredericksburg on William Street)

Sammy T's  offers great food with both vegetarian and vegan options.

Wineries

Beechwood Manor is located in close proximity to several wineries. 

Award-winning Hartwood winery is only a few miles from Beechwood Manor.

Rogers Ford Farm Winery offers a gourmet picnic lunch overlooking the Rappahonnock only 20 minutes from the bed and breakfast.

There are numerous other wineries within a hour drive of Beechwood Manor.

Golfing

There are a number several highly rated golf courses within a 20 minute drive of the B&B.

Augustine is one of the area's top rated 18 hole courses.

The Gauntlet is less than 2 miles away and offers an 18 hole course.

Lee's Hill Golf Club

Cannon Ridge Golf Club located off Rt. 17 within a 15 minute drive of the B&B.

Shopping

Central Park in Fredericksburg has several shops to entice you to browse the afternoon away. Ann Taylor Loft, Ulta, Ethan Allen, China shops, crafts shops, vitamins shop and many more.

If you are looking for a quieter shopping experience try downtown Fredericksburg.  There are a number of unique shops and boutiques such as the Made in Virginia store, Riverby Books and Irish Eyes of Virginia.
